Ceh was a defendant in a federal civil suit, tried before an Austin jury, brought by bus driver Timothy Holloway, former state Sen. Wendy Davis and campaign staffer David Gins, alleging that Trump Train participants violated the Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871 during an Oct. 30, 2020 convoy that surrounded a Biden-Harris campaign bus. In September 2024 the jury cleared five of six defendants, including Steve and Randi Ceh, and found only Eliazar Cisneros liable.
